As the skip to content link doesn’t help users bypass the navigation menu at the top of the page (see Skip navigation links take users to the same location (M) ), keyboard users are forced to navigate through all the menu items including the sub-menu. This is very time consuming and laborious for these users.
Furthermore, there is no mechanism to close each dropdown menu.
1.5.2 Recommendation
Provide a mechanism to allow users to navigate through the navigation menu items without having to move through all the sub-navigation elements and ensure that menu dropdowns can be dismissed.
