14.1.1 WCAG 2.1.1 (A) - Desktop

Across the site, there are several elements that are not accessible using the keyboard alone. A pointing device such as a mouse must be used in order to access these elements. These elements include the following:

  • The ‘info’, ‘zoom’ and ‘settings’ buttons within the video on the Postgraduate page
  • The ‘previous’ button on the Search course page
  • The ‘Course type’, ‘Study mode’ and ‘Entry year’ filter buttons on the Search course page

Keyboard users therefore cannot interact or utilise any of these elements on the page.

14.1.2 Recommendation

Content that is operable using a mouse needs to be operable by keyboard users as well, particularly when using assistive technologies.

Ensure that all interactive elements can be triggered via onfocus and TouchEvents as well as the mouse.
