7.2.1 WCAG 1.4.3 (AA) - Desktop

The white ‘Assessment coursework and examination’ text against the blue background has a contrast ratio of 3.2:1 which fails to meet the minimum colour contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for small text.

Most people find it easier to see and use UI Components when they have sufficient contrast against the background. People with visual impairments including low vision and colour blindness are especially likely to struggle with controls when contrast is too low.

7.2.2 Recommendation

Ensure the colour contrast ratio meets the required specifications of 4.5:1 for small text (up to 12pt) and 3:1 for large text (18pt or 14pt bold).
