1.3 State of accordion elements are not announced to screen reader users (H)

1.3.1 WCAG 1.4.10 (AA), 4.1.2 (A) - Desktop, Mobile, iPad

When the homepage is viewed on a mobile device with the screen reader activated, the text on the accordion button elements are announced to screen reader users, but the state of the button elements (expanded/collapsed) is not.

This is problematic to screen reader users as they will have no visual reference to know how to interact with this element.

When browser zoom is applied this issue also persists on desktop.

1.3.2 Recommendation

The state of the accordion should also be announced to the screen reader (collapsed/expanded). This can be set using the aria-expanded attribute.
