3.2.1 WCAG 4.1.1 (A) - Desktop

The Get in touch section on the Generic page (Faculty of Arts page) uses multiple non-breaking space elements. As a result, the word ‘For and’+44’ under the School of Education heading are right-aligned when the page is viewed on desktop.

This is problematic to low vision users as they generally navigate the page from left to right, top to bottom. These users might miss content that is right-aligned.

3.2.3 Recommendation

Ensure that the content on the page is left-aligned, so that it is accessible to low vision users. When implementing a responsive design, ensure that break points are coded correctly. For another issue relating to responsive design, see Content is hidden off screen when browser zoom is applied (H)
